There fore the amount of sparkle a diamond gives off when exposed to light is much greater than that of a cubic zirconia. She also notes that a natural diamond has a hardness of 10, where as the CZ has a range of 8.5-9; not bad for a synthetic stone, so it will keep up with bumping and the occasional dropping that can happen to jewelry due to wear and tear of normal usage.

But just like a diamond, cubic zirconias also come in a variety of grades. Let's go shopping for a minute.
